Position Summary

The Senior Planner (Senior Operations Planner) will support FEMA AGS AOPO activities. You will independently lead large, complex operations research projects, with management review of end results, and develop comprehensive program management documentation and supporting operational management procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Analyze moderately complex management problems and management information requirements, and formulate mathematical models for computer-based solutions.
  • Develop equations that relate constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and numerical parameters.
  • Gather, relate, and identify data for model variables using professional judgment and mathematical tests.
  • Review model operations and testing to assess adequacy and determine when reformulation is needed.
  • Coordinate the work of assigned personnel.
  • Prepare written, non-technical reports for management that present solutions or alternatives ranked by desirability and probability of success when no single solution exists.
  • Develop a comprehensive program management plan and required supporting operational management procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of emergency planning experience.
  • A master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Program management skills and program management development knowledge sufficient to complete comprehensive program management documentation and supporting operational management procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with federal aviation program management, UAS, and federal procurement processes.

Preferred

  • Experience with ArcGIS.

Location, Schedule, and Travel

  • The Senior Planner will work on-site at FEMA Headquarters in Washington, DC. The schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, in accordance with the AOPO staffing schedule. The Senior Planner may take PTO with a suitably qualified Senior Planner replacement available and FEMA COR approval.

Security Requirements

  • You may be subject to a background check and, at minimum, may be required to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance. PIV card access is required for FEMA facilities and use of a government-furnished laptop.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $94500 to $175500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
