Junior Data Analyst

The Junior Data Analyst supports the organization by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on data to help drive informed decision‑making. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working with data tools and systems. The analyst will partner closely with senior analysts, program managers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate and timely insights.

• Collect, organize, and validate data from multiple sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
• Clean and prepare datasets for analysis by addressing missing values, duplicates, formatting issues, and inconsistencies.
• Run basic analyses to identify trends, correlations, and key performance indicators.
• Support the development of reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Provide routine data extracts and assist with data requests from internal stakeholders.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of data used in reporting.
• Maintain documentation for datasets, processes, naming conventions, and data workflows.
• Collaborate with senior analysts on larger projects by preparing datasets and performing preliminary analysis.
• Continuously improve data processes and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Basic proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) or other spreadsheet tools.
• Familiarity with SQL or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Problem‑solving mindset and eagerness to learn analytical methods.
• Good communication skills, especially when presenting findings or explaining data.

 

Education 

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

 

Clearance

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

 

Preferred Experience

• Coursework or training in data analytics, statistics, computer science, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Proficient in C++, Python, C, GBD, and HTML SQL.  
• Experience working with large data sets or databases.
• Capable of English/Spanish Technical Translation.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $63750 to $106250 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
