Position Summary

MAG is seeking a highly skilled, extremely motivated Aerospace Manufacturing Planner to join our team and work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. As Planning Lead your goal is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of documentation, materials, and tools, while working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Inventory Control, and Buyers to ensure customer delivery and quality requirements are achieved.

This role cannot be accomplished remotely, so candidates should expect to work full-time on-site at Titusville, FL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and monitor material requirements to support production and sales to ensure integration and manufacturing flow is not interrupted. 
  • Review engineering drawings, technical manuals, or other technical data to create and schedule job cards and manufacturing orders to support production and sales.
  • Monitor shop floor activities to ensure promise dates are met and expedite work orders as necessary.
  • Communicate with all departments when issues arise, analyze root cause, and promote solutions.  
  • Assist in material kitting and pulling parts. 
  • Inventory control responsibilities to include database input and correction in an ERP system. 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Work 40 hours a week or more when needed
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, good decision-making skills, and the ability to think outside the box
  • Recognize and manage competing, time sensitive priorities
  • Ability to anticipate needs and provide problem solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and other general computer skills.
  • Able to recognize the sensitivity and confidentiality of the functions and act appropriately
  • Must be able to learn ERP systems and use appropriately for planning and inventory functions

 

Desired Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree BA/BS Production Management, Business Management, Finance, Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • Cursory understanding of engineering documentation, technical manuals, and other technical data.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) and military standards/specifications (MIL-STDs). 
  • Basic knowledge of CAD programs (PDM) 
  • Siemens Teamcenter experience

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
