Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is bidding on a high level government satellite communications support program and recruiting for a System Administrator SME who will function as the technical expert for virtual machine and virtualization administrator support for WSOMS.

 

Performance location is Colorado Springs

 

ALL positions concerning this effort are contingent upon contract award and employment with MAG Aerospace is not guaranteed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Support Virtual Machine (VM) Ware and Hyper-Virtual (Hyper-V)
  • Support to with other virtualization protocols and cloud computing
  • Deep Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of OS (Windows/Linux), virtualization, scripting, and enterprise databases.
  • Architectural Design: Creating, implementing, and optimizing large-scale infrastructure, data models, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Strategic Advisory: Recommending policies, procedures, and technical standards.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Acting as a subject authority for teams, mentoring junior sysadmins, and interfacing with vendors.
  • Specialized Domain Knowledge: Focusing on areas like AI/autonomy, ISR systems, or cloud environments.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience as a systems administrator in any operating system (e.g.

Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.)

Proficient in Virtual Machine (VM) Ware and Hyper-Virtual (Hyper-V), and familiar with other virtualization protocols and cloud computing

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT management or related technical field preferred 

 

Certifications:

None

 

Clearance:

Top Secret

US Citizenship required

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
