Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an Aviation Logistics Manager in Bogota, Colombia responsible for oversight and management of parts and supplies procurement processes, inventory management, property movement preparation, international shipping/receiving, local procurement, and program support coordination. A successful candidate will independently plan, organize, manage and implement logistics efforts in support of high tempo aviation operations. They will closely coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to plan and promote accurate and timely orders to ensure critical parts and supplies availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develops, performs, and directs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating the procurement, movement, maintenance, and use of aviation property, parts, and supplies.
  • Applies logistics principles and methods to specialized logistics solutions, including international movement of large, valuable and complex property items.
  • Performs asset management activities such as equipment inventory, lateral transfers, audits, equipment catalog
  • Maintains property records for company, customer, or Government in accordance with contract requirements and Government regulations from the date of acquisition through and beyond date of disposal.
  • Prepares and processes appropriate forms to indicate ownership and support property movement in accordance with government regulations, contract requirements, and corporate policy.
  • Conducts and assists with audits of compliance in accordance with internal and external requirements.
  • Provides oversight to the program parts room and warehouse.
  • Performs logistics database management functions.
  • Coordinates and plans local procurement of supplies, materials, and support from international agencies, companies, and vendors.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in logistics, including at least four (4) years’ of specific experience in logistics planning and management in support of aviation systems and equipment.
  • Firm understanding of the aviation industry and the critical nature of flight operations unique supply chain.
  • Ability to work and lead a team of U.S. and international logisticians.
  • Working knowledge of the Department of War (DOW) acquisition process.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrable experience working with management and movement of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) items and equipment.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain a deployment rotation schedule into and out of country (e.g. ~60 days in country, followed by ~60 days out of country) as established by the Program Manager.
  • Must meet physical and medical requirements of the position, to include successful completion of medical screening process prior to overseas deployment.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
