Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect reporting to the Sr. Director Technical Solutions within the C5ISR Solutions Business Unit. As a key member of the growth team, the Senior Solutions Architect will lead solution development and content development for C5ISR business opportunities. This is a hybrid role that requires an average of at least three days per week in MAG’s Fairfax office. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of both technical and process-oriented solutions and solution artifacts in support of C5ISR new business and on-contract growth opportunities
  • Serve as the chief author and “book boss” for proposal technical volumes
  • Conduct opportunity assessments, author RFI responses, participate in Q&A development, and contribute to color team reviews

Requirements

  • 10 years of leadership experience in the military, federal government, or defense industry
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to author compliant and compelling narrative and presentation content
  • Ability to inspire confidence, build consensus, and lead technical solutioning across cross-functional teams through strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong ability and desire to learn new technical material as it applies to an assigned proposal or business improvement initiative
  • Knowledge of the Federal Government acquisition lifecycle and industry-standard business development processes
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

 

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • One or more project management or technical certifications preferred

 

Clearance:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required 

 

Desired Requirements:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in Operations Management of DOD C5ISR programs

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation for this position is $160K – $180K base plus bonuses The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
