Position Summary

 

MAG Aerospace is seeking a Software Systems Architect will support the PM EWC Architecture and Interoperability Division in their mission to coordinate interoperability and integration across each product office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting EW&C. The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Software systems architecture support to facilitate integration and interoperability across the PM EW&C portfolio and beyond (including Electronic Warfare, Cyber, and SIGINT).
  • Tracking, reporting, and consolidation of testing and demonstration opportunities across the EW&C Programs of Record.
  • Identify opportunities within the portfolio to support collaborative operations in a military context.
  • Provides integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
  • Facilitate collection and consolidation of information from multiple product offices.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex technical issues to non-technical to stakeholders utilizing MS Project.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in office/field/lab environments

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
  • 5 or more years’ experience in software engineering that includes integration and systems engineering.
  • Bachelors Degree in STEM related discipline
  • 5 years of Systems engineering experience with system stakeholders to translate operational requirements into system/software requirements, designs, and implementation plans.
  • 2or more years in cyber, cloud-based web-platforms, Information Technology, or C4ISR systems.
  • Experience with software interfaces, data exchange and networking experience
  • Experience with virtualized environments and automation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, VMWare, Ansible).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and Ubiquitous.
  • Experience with integrated architectures that support interoperability.
  • Experience developing milestone charts and swim lane diagrams

Special Note

The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. This position requires 25% travel to Army and contractor locations within CONUS. The selected candidate will need to obtain and complete a judication of a Top Secret Clearance to maintain employment in this position.

 

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $220,000.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $220,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
