Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an HR Assistant/Program Management Analyst to provide comprehensive HR support to PM C&S assisting with both military and civilian personnel functions. This position is critical in ensuring efficient and effective HR operations.
 

This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber and Space Program Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate and deliver new hire Orientation
  • Assists in coordinating, planning, scheduling and maintaining records for various HR projects and meetings
  • Assists HR Team in answering general HR inquiries
  • Performs duties as ATAAPS timekeeper and local ATAAPS administrator
  • Assists in the processing of military personnel actions including evaluation reports (OER), assignment instructions (PCS/ETS), promotions, and separations.
  • Processes civilian personnel actions including onboarding, position descriptions, performance management, and separations.
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Processes military and civilian awards, ensuring timely submission of nominations, adherence to eligibility criteria, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Performs general clerical duties to include filing, copying, maintaining, tracking, mailing, and ordering Human Resources materials
  • Enter and maintain employee data, files, and documentation within Human Resources Database (HRDB)
  • Create, maintain, and audit electronic employee files
  • Communicates policies, ensures compliance, and provides support to PM and PdMs.
  • Collaborates with HR staff, manages vendors, and maintains records for regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Experience working in the DoD HR administration, performing civilian and military personnel management and administrative operations support activities; including specifically the areas of: Civilian Human Resource Management, Military & Civilian Manpower Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn, adapt and support new systems and applications.
  • Ability to self-start, multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience 

Preferred Qualifictions:

  • Bachelors’ degree Human Resources, Business, Social Science, Management preferred
  • Prior experience working in a military environment
  • Knowledge of ATAAPS
  • Knowledge of IPPS-A
  • Knowledge of Military Personnel Actions including Evaluations and Assignment Instructions

 

Other Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to work in office/lab environments

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $0 to $109,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
