Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Medical Logistics Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide medical logistics support functions and serves as the focal point for requisitions, receipts, inventory management, storage, preservation, issue, salvage, destruction stock control, quality control, property management, repair parts management, inspection, packing and shipping, care, segregation and accounting of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Manage medical supply, stock control, property management, and storage activities, both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Establish, monitor, and manage the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Exercise staff responsibility for units engaged in medical supply and service operations and other logistical support. The Contractor shall advise staff on matters related to medical equipment management.
  • Serve as a focal point for medical property management and accountability procedures. The Contractor shall assist staff on medical operations with MEDLOG planning. The Contractor shall conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews for Government review.
  • Forecast Authorized Stockage List (ASL) requirements and determine usage rates for Class VIII materiel. The Contractor shall provide training and assistance to all unit personnel involved in the management of Class VIII materiel.
  • Ensure proper turn-in, disposal, and destruction procedures for excess, damaged, or expired medical materiel and equipment items.
  • Maintain turn-in, disposal, or destruction documents on hand for two years.
  • Develop and implement a medical equipment maintenance program that ensures servicing and calibrating of equipment items as required for the safety of patients and operators prior to initial use, and at least annually after.
  • Develop and implement medical Quality Control (QC) procedures to include rotation of Potency and Dated (P&D) stocks to reduce/eliminate loss due to expiration.
  • Plan and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations. The Government is the final decision maker. The Contractor shall forecast planning and budget execution for healthcare resources and services, supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution. The Government will exercises final approval authority for these tasks.
  • Develop and maintain an internal Medical Logistics Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that shall be updated annually. The internal SOP shall comply with current regulations, policies, and directives.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum six years of experience in military medical logistics operations as an Army Medical Logistics
  • Specialist (Army MOS 68J or another military branch equivalent).
  • Graduate of Advanced Leaders Senior Course (ALS) or Senior Leaders Course (SLC).
  • SECRET Clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
