Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Aviation Maintenance Support Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the focal point for aviation maintenance for multiple repair shops, teams, sections, and platoons that maintain and/or repair Army rotary-wing,
    fixed-wing and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) aircraft. The Contractor shall manage personnel, supplies, equipment, and facility assets to maintain and repair Army rotary-wing, fixed-wing and UAS.
  • Organize and manage maintenance facilities, equipment, and personnel who inspect, service, test, disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust and retest aircraft or aircraft components.
  • Assign work to subordinates, oversee work in progress, and conduct final inspections and testing. 
  • Develop operating procedures and perform administrative tasks related to supply and maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to pilots and flight crews regarding required crew maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components.
  • Interpret technical material related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Develop and implement responsive maintenance and logistical support to achieve the missions assigned by the Aviation maneuver commander.
  • Organize maintenance elements to inspect service, test, disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, replace parts, and retest aircraft or aircraft components.
  • Prepare, implement, and maintain SOPs for maintenance management.
  • Interpret regulations, technical manuals, and orders pertaining to maintenance and logistics of Army aircraft for commanders and subordinates.
  • Serve as the focal point for Aviation equipment maintenance, direct maintenance, and accountability of organizational test equipment, supplies, and recovery equipment.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in aviation maintenance as Army MOS 151A (Aviation Maintenance
    Technician (non-rated)), Army Aviation Maintenance Warrant Officer or another military branch
    equivalent).
  • SECRET Clearance (Upgrade to TOP SECRET Clearance upon Government request)

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
