Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified UAS Instructors to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Train Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, NCO, Soldiers, Government, and contractor Unmanned Aircraft Crewmembers (UAC) in Special Operations tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). The Contractor shall train, educate, and evaluate the critical learning requirements, associated skills and knowledge required to perform UAS flight under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions. The Contractor shall train, educate, and evaluate Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Aircraft Operators (AO) training as Flight Instructor Operators (IO) and/or Standardization Instructor Operators (SO) in the critical learning requirements, associated skills and knowledge required to perform duties as a UAS Operator. The Contractor shall qualify students as Basic Mission Qualified (BMQ) crewmembers on the MQ-1C Gray Eagle and RQ-7 Shadow UAS.
  • Assist in preparing, planning and conducting student instruction in all SOATB UAS courses. The Contractor shall provide UAS and SOA peculiar platform instruction. The Contractor shall provide platform instruction in Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which consists of academic, hands on, and simulator training of an Army Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) qualified Soldier to operate Unmanned Aerial Systems. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the development of and updates to the POI.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Two years experience as an Instructor Operator (IO) or Standardization Operator (SO) in Medium
    Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Systems.
  • 1,200 Hours Aircraft Operator (AO)/Payload Operator (PO)/IO/SO experience.
  • SECRET Clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $58240 to $108160 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
