Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Avionics Integrator to join our team. As an Avionics Integrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration of avionics systems into aircraft, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in avionics systems, exceptional project management skills, and a keen eye for detail.

  • Coordinate and oversee the installation and integration of avionics systems into aircraft, including communication, navigation, and other electronic systems.
  • Builds, integrates, and tests solutions in a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in avionics technology, including familiarity with various avionics components, wiring, and installation techniques.
  • Manage all aspects of avionics integration projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure timely completion and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and verification of avionics systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of avionics integration processes, including installation procedures, test results, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and ensure project success.
  • Supports electrical and structural engineering analysis, documentation, prototyping, integration, ground and flight testing to ensure a high level of performance and compliance with operational, safety and reliability requirements.
  • Ensure that all avionics integration activities comply with relevant regulatory standards, such as FAA regulations or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Computer-aided Design (CAD) proficiency, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Experience developing and obtaining airworthiness certifications.
  • High level of proficiency in circuit analysis, test, and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems and components.
  • Experience with avionics installation techniques, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Well versed in designing electronics to meet military and civil aerospace specifications, such as MIL-STD-461, Mil-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, ISO-9001/AS9100, and FAA regulations

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Proven military or industry training in aircraft avionics
  • Hands-on experience in the design, integration, and documentation of military or civilian fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft during modification, upgrade, and overhaul

  • Secret

 

Physical Demands 

  • Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds
