Position Summary

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team in the early stages of a newly awarded 5-year task order with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting EW&C (Electronic Warfare and Cyber). The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of  warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide. By applying game changing cyber technologies through agile development methodology, we enable battlefield dominance for our Warfighters.

 

Your expertise is needed because it will impacts the 'online landscape,' from right here in Hanover, MD as part of the Project Manager Cyber & Space, Product Manager IW Cyber Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Duties include, but not limited to:

    • Collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into software requirements, designs, and implementations. 
    • Participates in planning, coordinating, scheduling, directing, and controlling engineering and technical support activities applicable to software development and integration of software tools/capabilities onto a variety of execution platforms.
    • Participates in the development and execution of software and system test strategies.
    • Reviews and assesses developmental contractor software code to ensure compliance with government-provided coding and cybersecurity standards.
    • Participates in government oversight of contractor software development activities, to include as a supporting team member in agile development paradigm activities (e.g., scrums, sprint retrospectives), and generating recommendations to the government Assistant Product Manager regarding development, development planning, development/test automation tools, requirements prioritization, test, evaluation, cross-system integration, and fielding/delivery, and post-delivery support of software-based systems.
    • Provides integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.

 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • 5+ years of direct experience with software or systems development
  • 2+ years of experience in cyber, information technology or C4ISR systems
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies

  • Experience with virtualized environments (VMs, VMWare)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools

  • Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders

  • Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Education

  • Bachelor degree and/or graduate degree(s) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology

Clearance

  •  US Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret / SCI required

 

Desired Requirements

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies could include one or more or comparable substitutes with Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, OpenShift, LCX, Rancher Labs, Container Linux, Cloudify, Apache Mesos, AWS, etc.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools could include one or more or comparable substitutes with Git, Gitlab, Nexus, Jenkins, CheckMarx, Artifactory, TeamCity, AWS, Gradle, Mercurial, Bamboo, CircleCI, Azure DevOps Server, BuildBot, Ansible, etc. 

  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and security assessment technologies (such as, not required, not exclusive list: Fortify, SonarQube, ACAS)
  • Experience with Development Security Operation (DevSecOps)
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (especially the mindset related to these versions: Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Experience developing Web services software
  • Ability to make recommendations for business process improvements with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the technology needs

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Ability to work in office and lab environments.
