Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is hiring for a Senior Lead Electronic Technician/Installer who will manage all installers, ensuring that all work/installs are completed to specification and on schedule.

This position is responsible for review of tactical radios (TR), maintaining baseline (in coordination with TR engineers) of all TR installation technical drawings and serves as an expert providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for independently designing, modifying, and constructing electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in performance measurements on test and evaluation projects.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C4ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
  • Performs fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance.
  • Provides expert technical direction and guidance to subordinate technicians.
  • Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience / Skills: 

  • Hands-on or educational experience in two of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in installing, planning and overseeing C5ISR systems on US Army vehicles.
  • Two (2) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience installing the following tactical radios communications equipment: AN/VRC-119, AN/VRC-121, AN/VRC-116, AN/VRC-117, AN/VRC-124, AN/VRC-125, AN/VRC-126, AN/VRC-127, AN/VRC-132, and AN/VRC-135

Education:

  • AA degree or two-year technical school education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline

Other Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • DoD secret clearance is required.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $63750 to $106250 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
