MAG Aerospace is bidding on a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) effort and contingently hiring for two (2) experienced P3 Aircraft Aviation Structural Mechanics (A&P licensed)
The place of performance for this position is:
NAS Cecil Field - Jacksonville, Florida
The P3 Aircraft Aviation Structural Mechanic shall provide technical support concerning the designs, repairs, modifies and fabricates aircraft, metal, plastic, composite, advanced composite, and bonded structural parts and components. Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.
Duties of this position will include the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) of the following systems:
Use a range of tools, including precision measuring equipment and hand tools, to complete task.
Perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working overhead.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub- assemblies, and final product.
Ability to analyze and evaluate information, identify, and prioritize problems, and generate and implement solutions.
Manufactures jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds. Inspects structures and components and determines operational status.
Ability to work in team-oriented environment and work on a variety of projects simultaneously. Work requires strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Identify parts required and raise purchase request.
Determine the proper corrective actions required to rectify discrepancies.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years as an Aviation Structural Mechanic
Demonstrate the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
Education:
Minimum High School Degree
Aircraft Structural Mechanic Course Graduate
A&P license
Clearance:
SECRET Active/Current
