Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Platform Instructor (PI): Intelligence Support to Aviation (ISTA) to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Deliver comprehensive training to supported units on intelligence operations, aviation planning processes, and the integration of intelligence into flight operations. Develop and conduct training programs that enhance the skills of personnel in using intelligence tools and systems, potentially including GOTS IMOM, MIST, Palantir, and DCGS.
  • Intelligence Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of current and emerging Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) related to aviation operations, assessing their advantages, vulnerabilities, and overall impact on Department of Defense (DoD) capabilities. Utilize expertise in the Integrated Battle Field Framework (IBFF), AFTTP Threat Guide 3-1, Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS), and the Kill Chain methodology to support aviation missions.
  • Mission Planning Support: Assist in the execution of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), providing intelligence inputs that inform decision-making at all levels of command. Facilitate the development of intelligence products that support target identification, assessment, and prioritization for aviation missions.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with multi-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and other intelligence personnel, to ensure a unified approach to mission planning and execution. Liaise with joint and coalition partners to share intelligence insights and enhance operational interoperability.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to security protocols, given the requirement for a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance. Ensure that all intelligence processes and products comply with Army regulations and standards while safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assess the effectiveness of training programs and intelligence support provided to aviation units, using insights to improve future training and operational support. Provide feedback to leadership on best practices and areas for improvement in intelligence support to aviation operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present reports on intelligence assessments, training outcomes, and operational support activities to senior leadership and stakeholders. Document lessons learned from training exercises and real-world operations to inform future intelligence support initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 Years experience supporting tactical aviation units during their planning cycle.
  • 10 Years experience in Army Intelligence operations.
  • Proficient with GOTS IMOM, MIST, Palantir, and DCGS.
  • Demonstrated expertise concerning the IBFF, the AFTTP Threat Guide 3-1, IADS, the Kill Chain methodology, SEAD, and the Army aviation planning process.
  • Ability to research emerging TTAO tactics, techniques, and technologies – describe their advantages/vulnerabilities and their impact to DoD capabilities and Army aviation operations.
  • Knowledge of the MDMP.
  • TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
